As many of you have seen from our recent film about the project, Converse have collaborated with London’s Footpatrol and three other key European trainer stores. The project is a cultural exchange between four city scenes and a collaboration between Converse CONS and trainer stores and local artists, with the Breakpoint zine and trainers telling the story of that collaboration.
For the London launch party, Breaks was enlisted to produce the event and it all went down last week on Thursday in Soho, London, right round the corner from Footpatrol.
For the event we displayed pages from the zine on the wall of the gallery, gave away copies of all four cities zines, brought in our friends Brewdog and Sailor Jerry’s to supply the drinks, food was provided by Anna Mae’s incredible Mac N Cheese and Footpatrol’s own ‘The Spot’ took charge of tune selection.
Those lucky few who attended walked away with a limited edition Bob Motown print, the four zines, and a hangover the next day. A fantastic night.
