Legendary sneaker store and Soho natives Footpatrol, have collaborated with New York stalwart sneaker store & brand ALIFE on a capsule apparel collection that celebrates the meeting of their two neighbourhoods from across the pond. The partnership was born through a mutual appreciation for each other, a relationship that first culminated in Footpatrol co-hosting the first ALIFE Sessions party outside of New York, in London last year with Raekwon.
Taking influence from their surroundings, such as the grimey alleys & streets of London and New York, they’ve created a capsule collection consisting of eight pieces of apparel and three accessories. Key pieces within the collection pick up on their mutually similar surroundings, like the ‘Alley’ Tee featuring the back streets of Soho, London and the streets where Footpatrol & ALIFE reside. Each piece of apparel has a story to tell, like the ‘Battle Cry’ Tee – an ode to the history of the word Soho, and the ‘Grime Lords’ Jacket – inspired by a mechanics jacket with dual brand logos embroidered on the front & back.
To launch the collection, Breaks hosted a press preview, with drinks generously supplied by Hop House 13 Lager and Captain Morgans Spiced Rum, before staying true to the British and Soho roots of Footpatrol and taking over their local, the George, for a riotous road-blocked party. The latter of which was supported by Stance Socks, who also produced a collaboration sock for Footpatrol and ALIFE that you can see in the above gallery.
The ALIFE / Footpatrol Capsule Collection is available exclusively at Footpatrol and ALIFE from Friday 13th November, with prices ranging from £3 – £90.
